Dave Lurie had nearly 32 years in trade publication experience with BNP Media. During his career he served as publisher of Paint & Coatings Industry, Industrial Heating, Ceramic Industry magazines and founded Process Heating and Adhesives & Sealants Industry magazines.
He also founded the Furnaces North America trade show, and started and ran several conferences and events. He has overseen development of e-Media products including websites, eNewsletters, webinars and social media platforms. Dave started his career at BNP Media as market research director.
In addition, Dave has served on the boards of the Industrial Heating Equipment Association and the Metal Treating Institute. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University.
As Executive Director of PCI, Dave provides leadership for The Powder Coating Institute and identifies strategies and developmental plans for the welfare of the organization and its members.

Brett Ryden has spent over 20 years in publishing and marketing and over 10 years working on numerous coating magazines. He has worked on trade as well as consumer magazines both domestic and internationally. In the 1990’s, he ran his own publishing company before joining BNP Media in 1998. In 2001, he was given the publisher position at Industrial Paint & Powder magazine before leaving for the opportunity to run The Powder Coating Institute’s start-up called Powder Coated Tough magazine in 2006.
Brett has written numerous articles and drives the editorial direction of Powder Coated Tough magazine. He received his Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Evansville. Brett also attended Harlaxton College in England and graduated from the Stanford University Professional Publishing Course in 2003.
As the Director of Publishing & Marketing for PCI, Brett directs and coordinates all of the business and staff aspects of Powder Coated Tough magazine. He is responsible for adverting and does photo shoots for almost every issue including numerous cover shots. Brett also works directly with the chairperson for the Industry Communications Committee. Brett will work with PCI and the market place to grow and spread the benefits of powder coating.

Tonya Farmer has over 17 years of successful experience as a meetings and events coordinator. Most recently she served as the Vice President of Training and Events for the Texas Credit Union League, a position she enthusiastically held from February 2005 to November 2012. Her responsibilities included the development and oversight of a $2.4 Million budget, the oversight and management of a four-state CUNA management school, a staff of six, and the coordination of more than 80 well-attended training events per calendar year. In addition to the Texas Credit Union League, Tonya has prior work experience with the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association, American Golf Corporation, Boeing and Frito-Lay.
Tonya is incisive, engaging, and a collaborative leader. She’s a proven innovator with marketing and promotions, conference and tradeshow management, strategic planning and curriculum development.
Tonya is a proud graduate of Texas Woman’s University. She is a Certified Meeting Planner and holds a certification in Business of Meetings from ASAE. In addition, she is a proud graduate of the Southwest CUNA Management School. Her long list of hobbies includes golf, softball, cooking, fishing, and joyful shared days at the lake with her golden retriever, Miloh.
Tamara Hancock, Membership & Marketing Coordinator

Tamara Hancock joined the PCI staff as Membership and Marketing Coordinator with an extensive background in trade association management. Formerly with the Houston Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC Houston), Tamara has 15 years experience in everything from administration and operations management to marketing/communications and fundraising. Among her diverse responsibilities at AGC Houston were the development and oversight of a quarterly magazine, weekly newsletter and a membership database that housed over 10,000 records.
Tamara is also proficient in establishing and implementing marketing campaigns and maintaining positive public relations. She proudly takes a hands-on, passionate approach to all her work. Tamara is a native Texan. She attended the University of Houston where she studied English, technical writing and mechanical engineering. She lives in Cypress, Texas with her husband and two daughters.
