We’ll kick off the event with PCI’s popular Powder Coating 101: Basic Essentials Workshop,
offered Monday and Tuesday, April 11 & 12. The workshop includes
both classroom and hands on training demonstrations.
Powder Coating 101 - Basic Essentials with Lab - SOLD OUT
1.5-Day Hands-On Workshop
1:00 pm - 6:00 pm; Networking Reception to follow 6:00 - 7:00 PM
8:00 am - 5:00 pm, including a lab demonstration at Georgia Power CRC (transportation provided).
The Powder Coating 101 workshop is an introduction to powder coating that focuses on the basic knowledge of the powder coating process. This course is recommended for those with little or no knowledge of powder coatings. Following the classroom instruction on the second day, attendees will board a bus to the Georgia Power Customer Resource Center for a hands-on lab demonstration presented by the workshop speakers. Transportation and a box lunch will be provided on Tuesday.

Powder Coating 2016 Technical Conference
The Powder Coating 2016 technical conference takes place on Wednesday and Thursday, April 13 & 14, with general sessions each morning, followed by concurrent technical sessions. A two-day tabletop exhibition that will feature powder coating manufacturers, powder coating application equipment, system houses, chemical suppliers and the various services and supplies that support the powder coating industry will also be held on Wednesday and Thursday.
Wednesday afternoon/evening will include a networking event alongside the tabletops with food and beverages and some fun activities.
Plant Tour - Benise-Dowling
Thursday conference attendees have the opportunity to participate in a plant tour of Benise-Dowling in Decatur, GA. The Decatur facility is one of three Benise-Dowling sites in Georgia and is a high volume production facility. Join us to see their fully automated conveyor system with two automatic powder booths. View their 5-stage pretreatment, color change and reclaim capabilities. The system runs at an average speed of 16’ per minute. Benise-Dowling has a strong quality management program you’ll be interested in seeing along with their lab for measuring color and mechanical performance. They also offer custom packaging and masking.
