This forum is the only educational and networking event of its kind, designed by and for custom powder coaters.  The Custom Coater Forum offers presentations and roundtable discussions on business solutions, product technologies, PCI programs, and more.  It provides an excellent place for networking and gathering valuable information to improve your business practices.

Core values are the principles and philosophies that serve as the compass of any organization, guiding its direction and supporting its overall vision and mission. Identifying the most important values helps an organization establish how it wants to be viewed and how it differs from competitors. Understanding your organization’s core values will allow you to dig deeper into the meaning and value of your “why”, hire more committed and productive employees, increase financial performance and establish a brighter vision for the future.

8:10 am         Knowing Your Costs to Insure Your Profits

To insure profitability, it is critical that custom coaters have a detailed understanding of the costs they will incur while coating a job.  After briefly describing the basics of costing, this presentation will focus on the most critical cost factors and how a custom coater determines these costs in their own shop.  From there, pros and cons of several costing methods with be discussed.  Finally, examples will be offered showing how the costing analysis is utilized in creating a quotation.  This will be an interactive session and questions and comments will be welcomed from the attendees.

Powder coatings come in many different shapes and sizes. If you want to elevate your coating, enhance your product or simply make sure you have the absolute best coating solution for your application this seminar is for you. We will cover the many ways to establish the best and highest performing powder coating for any given part. We will look at high performance in corrosion resistance, UV protection as well as optimal resistance to high wear finishes. We will also make sure we have time to answer any questions you may have for your unique application.

The United States Department of Defense continues to place a heavy emphasis on environmental advancements for the coatings that are used on military vehicles and components, while continuing to require exceptional performance and durability and drive corrosion improvements. Powders offer several distinct technical and environmental advantages to meet this challenge.  We will review the status of current military specifications and review the options for powder coatings.

Microfinish of Saint Louis experienced a Tornado in 2011 and a devastating flood in 2016.  Bill will share important information on how advance planning will make your company better prepared to respond quickly and mitigate the long-term effects of a natural disaster.  He will talk about wading through the red tape of governmental agencies and insurance issues to get your company up and running.
