The Powder Coating Institute returns to Orlando, FL to host POWDER COATING WEEK from February 17-20, at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld®.  Consisting of different events all focused on powder coating, POWDER COATING WEEK will provide something for everyone engaged in the powder coating industry and those looking to bring powder coating operations to their business.

The week will begin on Monday, February 17th with PCI’s popular Powder Coating 101 Workshop: Basic Essentials that will be held concurrently with PCI’s Custom Coater Forum.  While the education for these two events are separate, they will share a joint luncheon and reception, allowing attendees to network.  These two events will run through Tuesday, February 18th.

Starting on the evening of Tuesday, February 18th, PCI’s Powder Coating Technical Conference will kick off with an after hours informal gathering that will allow attendees the opportunity to meet others before the conference begins.  The Technical Conference will take place on Wednesday, February 19th & Thursday, February 20th.

PCI has issued a Call for Presentations for the 2020 Powder Coating Technical Conference and abstracts can now be submitted visiting https://www.powdercoating.org/page/CallforPapers.  Plans are underway to offer more focused and interactive sessions for attendees with a program that is inclusive of everything “powder coating.”

PCI plans to create tracks with presentations that relate specifically to each track focus.  The potential tracks listed below have been suggested by past attendees and industry colleagues.  Presenters will be asked to submit a possible track for placement during the abstract submission process.

  • Batch Systems
  • Automated Powder Lines
  • Case Histories 9must include an end user to present if being submitted by a supplier)
  • Maximizing Powder Coating Profitability
  • IOT and Cybersecurity for Powder Coating Systems
  • Troubleshooting Basics
  • Troubleshooting Advanced
  • Markets – Architecture, Exotics, etc.
  • Powder Coating Formulation
  • New Technologies (20-minute presentations on truly new technologies which can be discussed by name and will be promoted as such)

The Powder Coating Institute has been providing technical education conferences for manufacturers for more than 30 years.  “There was a higher level of energy at PCI’s Powder Coating 2019 Technical Conference earlier this year.  We are continuing to build upon that positive energy and success by planning an entire week dedicated to powder coating,” states PCI’s Executive Director Trena Benson.   “We are also holding POWDER COATING WEEK 2020 earlier in the year.  Moving to mid-February in Orlando is an attractive location for those from northern locations.  The Renaissance is a perfect venue for our events and attendees rated the facility very high this year.  We are anxious to return in 2020.”

Along with the sessions that are critical to powder coating operations, PCI is looking for new and innovative topics that offer practical information to improve powder coating operations, discuss hot industry trends, and provide ideas to enhance business practices.  Keep in mind that abstracts containing new and different content will be given priority for 2020.

Call for Presentations closes July 15, 2019.  Submit an abstract today!
