Meet PCI'S New Executive Director

The PCI Board of Directors is very pleased to announce the appointment of our new Executive Director, Todd Luciano, starting January 1, 2026. With a passion for innovation and a strong record of leadership, Todd will guide our organization into an exciting new chapter of success.

Todd Luciano has spent nearly 30 years at Gardner Business Media, most recently serving as Brand Vice President (Publisher) of Products Finishing since 2012. In this role, he led internal teams, developed marketing strategies for their advertising partners, and strengthened relationships with industry associations.

He also served Gardner’s management team, collaborating with other Brand VPs to provide guidance and shape the development of media products and sales efforts across the company. From 2003 to 2012, Todd served as Associate Publisher, overseeing media operations and growth initiatives for the brand under the guidance of the publisher, and prior to that, he focused strictly on media sales as a District Manager and Inside Sales.

Throughout his career, he has worked closely with innovators across powder coating and other surface finishing technologies and has been an active board member of both the Chemical Coaters Association International and the Electrocoating Association.

“My career at Gardner Business Media—from media sales to Associate Publisher and then Brand Vice President of Products Finishing—has given me a broad perspective on the surface finishing community. As part of Gardner’s management team, I collaborated with leadership to shape media products and sales strategies, while also leading my own teams and initiatives. Combined with my board service on both the Chemical Coaters Association International and the Electrocoat Association, I feel confident that the past 30 years have uniquely prepared me to take on the Executive Director role at the Powder Coating Institute. Supporting members, advancing powder coating technology, and positioning the Institute as the global authority on powder coating are central to our long-term strategy, and with the talented team we’ve assembled, I’m confident we will not only achieve these goals, but exceed them. I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the new PCI and look forward to everything ahead.”
