This webinar will provide attendees with a guide for the equipment needed for successful cleaning for your powder coating operation.
Challenges: It is always a challenge to prepare your parts for any coating operation. What is your challenge; rust, welding slag, oils, release agents of some sort, and/or a combination? Your climate and conditions will help to determine the type of preparation you need. Cleaning is a very important part of your coating operation. If you do not clean correctly, just about everything after this is a waste of money, that means lost profit, rejects, rework, or scrap. Adding to the challenge is doing all of this at an affordable price.
Limitations: Understanding the limitations of aqueous cleaning and pretreatment systems/washers. Tanks, heating, pressures for cleaning, and the time in solution all factor into what your system can and cannot do. The equipment you purchase must be able to perform the duties laid out by your specification and your chemical provider. The chemical provider understands the limitations of aqueous cleaning and will tell you if your system needs mechanical cleaning as well. Likewise, grit blasting systems is not interchangeable with a phosphate or zirconium application.
